Looking to purchase a multifamily home or SHM to househack.
Congrats on two big steps -- moving to Colorado Springs and jumping into real estate. I'd reach out to a few agents and get a feel for their knowledge of the market and their experience with investors and house hackers in Colorado Springs. I'd also look out for strong communication. Are they getting back to you quickly and are they able to clearly articulate the sometimes complicated aspects of real estate.
And there's always the intangible factor of the how do you feel about working with this person intimately for a few months on one of biggest financial decisions. Finally, I'd be sure to confirm who you're working with day-to-day, whether it's who you interview with or a member of their team.
Also, it's not a bad idea to start reaching out to lenders. It's good to have down on paper what you qualify for so you can hit the ground running. I wish you the best! Cheers!
