Foundation Issues - How bad is it?

Hi guys,

First of all, thanks for reading through my post.

I had a look at possible investment property this morning and we noticed some foundation cracks. Seller described them as settlement cracks in the disclosure form but it looks like a little bit more than that. On a scale from 0 (no issue) to 10 ("OMG get out there") how would you rate it? I will still have a pro look at it but if the majority of you lean more towards a 10, then it might not even be worth it.

Thanks again. Appreciate your feedback.

Martin

I think that you should be converting this problem to $ + time and the headache it will cause you.

If you get a quote that the repair will cost you 10k but you are buying the property with a significant discount and all you need to do is call the professional to get it fixed it might be worth looking into it.

It does look like a major foundation problem to me (I'm not a professional though) and i would rate it as a 6 out of 10.
