Purchase agreement expires

Posted

Seller failed to have septic pumped and ended up needing repaired. Our purchase agreement was set to expire. I asked them to extend and cover incurred fees for the additional rent that now that had to be paid and an extension on the rate lock. The response we got was that they wouldn’t oblige and legally could back out now that the purchase agreement was do to expire. Is that legal to do so due to the fact that failed to meet the terms on their end?
