Buying an auction property

Hello everyone, I have a question about a property I found that is in pre-foreclosure headed into an auction. Is there any way I can purchase the property before hit's auction? I live in Maryland and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Before you contact the owners make sure you are familiar with Maryland's Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act - it lays out what you can and cannot do/offer/say when talking to owners who are in pre-foreclosure/foreclosure.
