How to get New Commercial Leases in Retail

Question

Does anyone have any other tips for getting new commercial leases in your retail center? I know cold calling is good and keeping in touch.
	Do you send marketing information to their current spaces to get them to notice your center?

Send out  a flyer to all the businesses in the area that you think would want to use your space, worked for me.

I would connect with a really good retail leasing agent that knows your area and property type.  They will have connections to more regional and national credit tenants and can really help facilitate the transaction.  Many times the head of real estate for Qdoba (or insert any other national or regional retailer) won't take your call as the owner of the shopping center (unless you have a highly desirable area that they are after).  However a good leasing agent that understands what many retailers are looking for and knows their growth patterns will be able to make that call.  Do you know other shopping center owners that you can connect with for recommendations?

I am looking to acquire new tenants for my shopping center. I've been cold calling - which works too. I was just wondering if other ways. I've use sites like Craigslist, Loopnet, Costar, etc. I also have signs up. Do you have any ideas?
