Assisted Living Home

I have a potential client that wants to open up an Assisted Living Home in a rental property.  Will the owner of the property have to make changes to his or her insurance policy to reflect and will that cause an additional fee?  I want to get front loaded on the information before speaking on the matter.

Thanks in advance.

Absolutely. They will also need to verify GL coverage that lists assisted living on a commercial policy. I would also suggest having the landlord be listed as additional insured. The real question is are you ready to be a commercial property manager? That's what you will become. You may become liable for what you don't know about commercial property management. No accusation just a comment to consider.
