Fulfillment Center Start-Up

I currently lease a warehouse in Lufkin, Texas for my existing business - supplying salvaged home improvement inventory. Does anyone have experience investing in or operating a fulfillment center?

I am particularly interested in learning about the importance of warehouse location, required technology, and process to provide a fulfillment service to online retailers.
