Motel Management from 40 min away?

Question

So Im looking at a Small Roadside Motel about 40 minutes away.  17 Units.  Im not sure yet if they rent nightly or weekly, Im waiting for more information from them.

My question is, right now they have a live in clerk that manages the place.  How would I be able to keep him honest?  Is there a way for me to know from a distance when each unit is rented each night /week?  Not sure it could be done with just cameras although that would be one of the first things I put in.  Just trying to see if anyone else here has experience with a small motel like this and a way to keep tabs on things without being there?

I do plan on being there at least a couple times a week to keep an eye on things, make repairs and pick up rents but not on a daily basis.

@Dave Charron Best thing i can tell you man is do it yourself. Sounds like you wont trust anyone with that type of responsibility and i can't say i dont blame bruh, i'd have some trust issues as well however that only means the only person right for the job is you my man! lol im interested to see how this turns out man please keep me updated on this dave mahalo bruh and best of luck !!

Its not this manager particularly.  I dont want to have to try and trust anyone with that kind of money.  Ive been in business a long time and know that things happen when they know nobody is watching.  There is trust and then there is trust in someone who handles thousands of dollars of your money on a daily basis.
