Commercial RE vs Residential

Waiting to hear back from the state (CA) to take my exam. Although residential seems to be the direction most people take, I am intrigued by commercial and wonder if I’d like that area of real estate better. Any input or advice on the ins and outs of both or either would be greatly appreciated!
