Cannabis growing facility leasing ?

Question

Does anyone have experience with facilities to rent or buy that are approved by city/county to have a cannabis grow and the process behind it? I am looking to refer to a person who can answer these questions properly. Looking in Northern California. I am sure there’s many factors to this and may need much more information so I can guide them to the right person who can help.

I haven't looked into brokering a loan on one of these in quite a while, but one of the major considerations before was that most of my lenders wouldn't touch it until there was federal guidance as to the legality (or that the feds would stay out of these deals).  I think there might have been some recent relief for the banking network but it could still be an issue for life insurance companies and CMBS on the larger deals.  Something worth exploring more for sure...

I represent a 170,000 SF industrial facility in the City of Commerce outside of LA. It is the largest industrial cannabis space in Los Angeles County. The space is master-leased by a tenant that is pre-approved by the City for manufacturing, distribution and we can add cultivation (there is a state imposed limit on canopy space of about 25k SF). Pre-approved space is extraordinarily rare, you typically have to go through a very expensive and very time consuming process in order to obtain permits in CA.
