Commercial Office Space Leasing Contract -Lawyer needed?

Question

We have a commercial office building and our real estate agent plans on using the standard lease form to compose the lease. However he says we should have a lawyer to review it and add any addendums if necessary.

My question to you all: Any southern California real estate lawyer recommendations who do this kind of work? Also what is the usual going rate for such work? How much should we be spending on lease reviews for landlords if we are using the AIR standard form?

Check out paralegal companies most work as many law offices back office with the law firm marking up their services. Research a few in your area and contact them directly. You may be able to save a lot of money.

I think most Real Estate attorney's can help as far a s a contract. By standard lease I assume you mean like the Air Cre? It is designed to be modified and legal here in California. Is this an agent or broker and what kind of fees are you paying him? Due diligence on your part is wise and his suggestion is good advice. Yet he is the one you are paying to advise you, What addendums is he suggesting?

I would interview lawyers in your area not a bad idea to have a relationship with one. Choose one that specializes or is at least well familiar with your type of property. Commercial is a broad brush
