Need help with Notice of Default Records

Could anyone please help me where can I exactly locate Notice of Default in ESSEX COUNTY,MA. I'm starting REI in this new location and it has been a surprise for me. This morning I checked on County Court, Registry of Deeds and even local city hall but they are pointing different locations. Thank you!
