Homesearch REDEMPTION PROPERTY AUCTION

What are some things that i should look into  before i bid or by a property that has a redemption period? Maybe there is a check list to or a Go/ No Go list that could help in buying one of these properties that the bank has up for auction... BTW i am in SW Michigan and would defiantly like link up with investors in my area!
