First post on BP!

I saw a post on this subject from about a year ago but there wasn't any response to it. Does anyone know of any good books foreclosure buying / auction buying? I'm looking for something that dives deep into securing and clearing title, types of liens and how to clear them, what to expect at auction, as well as how to work with the bank during pre-forclosure. Thanks in advance!

I love that you are looking into this kind of stuff.  My guess is that there are not a lot of books written on the nitty gritty that you are looking for.  Each state is different in how it handles foreclosure laws, and each bank or lender treats their foreclosed properties differently. To make maters worse it seems that these laws and policy's are always changing.   It would be tough for someone to write a book on the details of all this.

This is exactly why you can make so much gal darn money buying these things.  You just have to figure it out as you go along.

We just had an appraisal come back on a foreclosure that we are buying, the appraiser had to call the realtor to ask why it was selling so cheap...  must be something wrong with it to be selling for 40k less than its value.   Our realtor responded "its a foreclosure".  that cleared it all up...

I love foreclosures,  the last 4 properties we bought have been foreclosed.
