What are various ways of coming up with the cash for a foreclosure bid? Should I take the time to search why a particular property is in foreclosure? 

Also, what's your experience with the foreclosure experience? Do you have any "wish I would've known" advice? 

I'm currently interested in a foreclosure, to buy & hold, that is scheduled for a bid on the 16th of this month.
