Question: Short Sale wants Bank Statements Before Approval

Hello Biggerpockets,

I have a question.

I submitted an offer on a Short Sale property. Now the bank wants bank statements before they approve the deal. I sent in my Hard Money Lender's Approval Letter but they still want bank statements. It is not even in the inspection period.

How do you provided bank statements when you do not have that amount of money?

Thank you to all that reply.

@Account Closed  I think she understands what the bank is trying to do.

Ashley things they be a changing... quasi HML letters are not as good as they were a few years ago.

when we buy we always provide actual bank statements... these are indisputable.

Many fly by night HML out there and the banks know it..

that's what your running into
