Phoenix Short Sales?

Question

AZ Investors...

I've seen a lot of advertising for short sales lately in the Phoenix area, my question is for those of you that are in this business...first, is it still profitable to start doing short sales in the Phoenix area or are there too many big dogs taking all the business and just too much competition to really get anywhere. Second, would it be best to start off on my own or to look to one of you local "guru's" for advice...

Thanks for the input guys, it is much appreciated.  It sounds like I need to seek out Nick J to get this ball rolling.  Also are there any specific courses or classes you would suggest to learning the short sale process?

I am responding from Denver but lived in Phoenix last year.  There are many big dogs there and others from out of state now working it.  The reason - it is a huge market, prices declined metro wide over 30% from early 2008 to early 2009, and many many properties are underwater.  Motiv8td on here is a local pro you may want to seek out for advice.  Alternatively, make sure to get educated as short sales can be very profitable but require persistence.  Just a suggestion - outsource your negotiations, concentrate hard on marketing and try to differentiate yourself.
