Hey everyone, me and my partner are interested in investing in Ocala Florida for buy and rent strategy. What are the best neighborhoods for investment in Ocala in the price range of between 70K - 120K? In addition, is Ocala good for such investment? Thank you!!

I personally like the 34479 and 34482 areas since that's where I own rentals.  Are you looking to buy a rental ready to rent for 70K - 120K or buy something for that or less and fix up to rent?  Whenever I have a vacancy, there are numerous people waiting to rent.  Check out Facebook group Houses & Apartments for Rent in Ocala.  3 bedroom 2 bath seems to rent best.  I do a 1 year lease then let it go to month to month afterward so I can raise the rent or tell a tenant to move with just 15 days from the end of a rental period notice.  Taxes are less in the county than inside the city limits and try to stay in SECO or Ocala Utilities areas - Duke Energy is expensive and tenants hate them.

On Top of The World (senior community) is currently 6 months behind in building homes under contract and we have a Fed Ex hub in town and Amazon about to open their warehouse with more large companies coming in to the area.  I do not buy in Marion Oaks or the Shores or Forest areas because of the crime rates.
