multiple brokers

Hi,

I've been working w/ a broker for a few weeks now making offers on REO properties. He told me that he was spending a good amount of time on my offers and requested I pay him a consulting fee which I agreed to. I'm considering working w/more than one broker so I can continue to make 15-20 offers a week w/out having to deal w/fee. Any opinions?

I would NEVER pay an agent to submit an offer for me (or even 50 offers for me). That's their job. And they work on commission.

They get paid when they help me close a deal.

If you want to negotiate a fee-based compensation with your agent, I hope you at least negotiate their commission down (and on the purchase side, they give you part of their commission).

Otherwise, if they're getting fees and commission, they're just taking advantage of you...

Just my $.02...
