100% Disabled Vet Tax Exemption for Multi-Unit Property

So I’m 100% disabled and wanting to buy a fourplex in Houston. I believe what is happening is that they choose which property you are going to live in. An then use a ratio to determine how it would affect your taxes. Meaning you do not get 100% tax exemption on multi family properties. Anybody have any insight as to how this works?
