What are some successful strategies you have used to find good apartment/multi family deals?

Hi, I'm an investor/broker in Western NC. Charlotte is booming, Asheville is hot, and the surrounding areas are suffering from a rental shortage.

I'd recommend looking in Hickory, Lenoir, Morganton area of NC.

Networking and broker relationships. Today all of our deals come through a network of established relationships which took years to build.

Hi Vince, in the commercial space buyers are rarely represented by brokers. Typically brokers just represent the seller. The buyer represents themselves. If the buyer wants representation then they will have to pay their representative.

We just acquired a 25 unit in Minnesota. We were able to get this deal off-market through a wholesaler. Not all wholesalers are the same so having a vetting process when connecting with them is very important.

I would start with brokers as others have said but Wholesalsers too. Investor meet ups can be huge.
