Part Time Underwriting Jobs?

Hey everyone,

I quit my job as a commercial loan underwriter in the middle of 2022. I hit a glass ceiling and wasn't growing as fast as I would have liked. I made a few good investments and had the ability to start traveling a bit. I had the idea of continuing to work as an underwriter, but want to avoid the 9-5 life with PTO, and ideally, I would love to work remotely.

Has anyone heard of any opportunities like this? A part time, remote, CRE underwriting position? I tried looking on the web but just couldn't find anything that wasn't full time, 10 PTO days, etc.

Any advice on where to look would be greatly appreciated!

Look up Bullpen CRE. They provide 3rd party underwriting as a service and may have room for a part timer.

Hey Tony I am in a similar situation,

I'm currently a senior at university and got my RE license 3 months ago. Upon graduation, I want to move to NYC. It is nearly impossible to go from college straight into full time agency especially given that I a new and I do not come from a family with money. I've applied to all major RE investment firms, but they seem to have crazy requirements for a salaried analyst or underwriting jobs.

I heard back from smaller firms, but they were commission-only positions. I do not wish to work as a 1099 employee fresh out of college.

Nonetheless, try smaller and less developed firms as they come with the flexibility you are looking for. The tradeoff for here is consistent pay.
