Yesterday, I was at a meeting between a builder and his customers, I have had only minimal involvement on the customer side. the builder had given a very specific price for constructing the building. However, he had not anticipated some substantial site work. In fact, the site work had increased the price of the project by about 90%. The customers knew the costs were going up, but the builder had neglected to say by how much. Of course, the customer should have asked how much, but well they are not builders.

Now the project will be delayed by several months at the very least while this whole mess is straightened out. Bottomline everyone loses due to lack of communication.
