Raising Capital for Multifamily Projects

Traci Edwards
Posted

Does anyone have advice about raising capital for multifamily projects?

I have a a great project in a prime location, but finding the right investor has been pretty difficult.

Any and all advice about how to best approach people or groups of interest would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Traci

Raising $5.6mm is no easy task if you have not raised capital before. You're likely best off wholesaling the property and using those funds to invest in the deal or invest in something else. Raising capital takes building relationships and growing your network. It also takes experience in the asset class that you're raising money on. This sounds like a development, so you and your team should have years of experience and a track record of success before you take other peoples money.

Lastly, be sure you hire a good securities attorney.
