Looking to buy my first multi-family property (5+ units) in the Charlotte MSA
Greetings everyone,
I've been a landlord (3rd-party management) for the last 6 years and I'm in the process of selling that property. The property closes in the next two weeks at the time of this writing and I'm doing a 1031-exchange. I've been learning about investing in apartments over the last 5 months and picked up some mentors who invest in different capacities. One likes a larger number of units and doing syndications, while the other likes lower number of units and partnerships. My goal is to focus on the smaller number of units and work my way up to larger apartment buildings. I travel to Charlotte a few times a year as I have family in the area. I was just there 3 weeks ago to visit my sister and to watch my nephews's football games. I'm looking to connect with other investors, potentially we can partner up, as well as real estate professionals who focus on multi-family properties (5+ units).
