I love the abc's of real estate investing by Ken McElroy. I'm also currently reading multifamily millions by David Lindhall. So far it's pretty similar in info to Ken's book. I'd probably recommend starting with the abc's of real estate investing.

BiggerPockets 21 Best Real Estate Books Ever I think there's at least a couple of other similar blog posts here on BP as well. That said, I second both of the choices already made and will also offer up "Thinking: Fast and Slow"

Frank Gallinelli's What Every Real Estate Investor Needs to Know About Cash Flow...and 36 other Key Financial Measures

there are tons of suggestions throughout the forum and at the end of every podcast.... personally i like millionaire real estate investor as far as a book directly related to REI
