Hmmm... I would say the best method is consistent one. Following up is very important in direct mail. It is almost a waste of money to just mail once. I usually recommend a campaign of sending a different marketing piece every 3-5 weeks for 5-7 months to the same list.

It may not be the case everywhere, but if you send marketing pieces any sooner than 3 weeks potential sellers seem to get more annoyed. In the other side of the coin, waiting longer than 5 weeks could potentially be too long in-between to where the recipient could forget about you.

It would benefit you to plan ahead. Come up with a monthly marketing budget and commit to it for a full campaign, however long that may be.
