Where to incorporate LLC

Question

I am putting together my syndicated apartment complex purchase/deal. Obviously I need to do this through an LLC. Which state should I incorporate in?

Look at either Nevada or Wyoming. You want anonymity and charging order protection. Create this first, then create another LLC in the state where the property is located and have it owned by the Nevada or Wyoming LLC.

I created my llc in Wyoming as its only $50 per year fees and only subject to federal taxes as Wyoming has no state tax. I then created louisiana llc's owned by Wyoming llc

Either state is friendly. Wyoming or Nevada

@Ryan Franklin first check why those states are good for LLC. Your home state might want your money no matter where the LLC is (CA franchise board wants their $800 no matter where you create LLC). Second you will have to register that LLC in the state you are buying property in. So now you will have to deal with your home state, LLC state and the property state. Some people still do it but if you are starting out, keep things simple.

Actually LLCs are a type of incorporation.  They are very different from a C corp, but they are an incorporated company.

LLC is not a corporation, and you don't incorporate an LLC. Keep that in mind. LLC and Corporation (Inc) are separate and distinct business entity types.
