Hi there!

I purchased a multifamily unit in DC and looking for a tax expert to assist with filing taxes for last year. (Particularly with expertise in depreciation estimation)...

Anything helps! Thanks!

I can highly recommend Joseph Lager, CPA at EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors in D.C., PM me for his contact info.

If you don't mind working virtually, there are many here on BP, I don't know who is taking on new clients this time of year but you can reach out to @Daniel Hyman @Brandon Hall @Nicholas Aiola

Best of luck!

When you mean commercial property - do you mean a non-residential building?
non-residential property is normally depreciated over 39 years
residential property is normally depreciated over 27.5 years

Hi Basit,

I should clarify. I mean a residential prop, in which I am house hacking. Sounds like I should be using 27.5 years as a depreciation rate.

That's correct 27.5
