how to find a good property manager

Hi all, I am new to multi family and I am planning to hire a property manager for 4/5 unit MFR. I wanted to check with all you folks, how I should go about finding a good one and make sure this property management company is working fairly. Appreciate pointers , and TIPS in Tracy California region. Thank you !
