Starting out learning to estimate costs

Account Closed
Posted

Not sure how to estimate financing costs. I can do the amortization myself, but I am not sure what to use to estimate for origination, agent fees, anything that will be due at closing.

Any advice on where to start looking?

Would it be useful to share some real numbers with me?

@Account Closed you should speak to your real estate agent and ask them to see examples of recent closings they have done. I often times do this for my clients here in the Chicago suburbs as it helps them understand what their actual costs will be. You could also speak to your lender if you want to get some actual numbers from a recent deal.
