1031 Exchange Question

I know there is not a specific time to hold to 1031 proceeds however generally a year is given as a time frame that the IRS will accept.

Does the year time frame have to be continous or can you have a break in title??

Example owner financed deal. Insurance problem which needs title transfer for a few days and then back in to your name again for title but no monetary value took place.
