Bed Bug Treatment Cost & Best Methods
We have a 30 Unit Apartment Complex, at the moment we are in the first year of the stabilization. As you might know one of the first steps of the Stabilization is to evict non paying tenants. As expected we have run into Bed Bug issues. I have several quotes from Pest Control companies in the Area. It is surprising to me that none of them want to do Heat Treatment method which I believe is the best method to treat bed bugs. There chemical treatment quote is any where from $600 to $1,200 per unit and we are talking about 600+ SQF units. I wanted to see if any BP's Apartment owner has experienced this and what you have paid in the past. Please let me know if you have any recommendation for me. To purchase the equipment from Convectex for my PM it would cost me $3,500 and I can use it over and over again. However I don't want to become a PM and or the maintenance company so I prefer find a 3rd party that I can call to do these type of work. I just need to know some pricing that is typical and method others have used in their apartments that has worked for them. That way I can go back and negotiate my pest control contract.
