Multifamily Investor Demographics

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get a sharper picture of investor demographics. Imagine you're funding a syndication and have gathered all the investors into a room and could ask each of them how much they are investing and whether they have invested before. What kind of answers would you have gotten for your syndications?

Specifically I'm wondering if funding often comes from a few large investments, many smaller ones, or some mix. What has your experience been?

This all depends on your network. If you hang with whales you will get big checks. If you do the Grant Cardone thing you will get small amounts. It's all about your relationships, experience, track record or that of your partners and sponsors and the property itself.

Raising big capital, like $20, $50 and $100 million raises is an art and a business. You need credibility, a good strategy and the right product.
