First property in New Rochelle, NY

Hello All,

I’m looking to purchase my first property in a couple of months and I’d like to purchase a duplex or triplex in the New Rochelle area. I would live in one unit and rent out the others. I’m very new to New York.

Any recommendations for nice areas to look for?

Any quality recommendations for a real estate agent that knows the area?

Little bit about my situation. Currently I work in Manhattan (I drive to work). I’m here working for the next 3 years, so my intentions are to purchase a place and live in it until I leave then continue to rent it out afterwards.
