How much would a heating system be to install for a 6plex?

Hi everyone, I’m buying my first investment property in upstate NY and it’s a 6plex. It needs a whole new heating system. Does anyone know a estimate Of how much it would cost? I’m 19 and my buisness partner is 19 as well I don’t want to get husseled

Thanks for the response , I believe it’s just everything new, each unit has a different heating system so I want one uniform system (old ones don’t work I’m pretty sure)

Hi @Luke Amato, welcome to the BP Forums!

The costs associated with the new heating system are going to vary widely depending on:  is it truly just the heating, or the HVAC?  Is it already HVAC or is it window units and wall heaters, in-floor gas furnaces, etc?  If HVAC, does the ductwork need to be redone or is it sufficient?

Your best play here is going to be walking the property with a few competent HVAC professionals and asking them what you're looking at.  You'll probably get a range of costs, so take these to your local mentor (who will know the normal costs or vendors to watch out for in upstate NY, among other things) and see what they think.
