Do you prefer clean lots or discounted lots with challenges?

When looking at land, do you prefer lots that are ready to go (utilities, straightforward layout), or do you lean toward discounted lots that may have some challenges? I’m trying to understand how different investors weigh ease vs upside. Do you find the “problem” lots are worth it, or do they usually take more time and money than expected?

Hi @Brooke Adams, nice to meet you here on BP. So the “problem” lots can be where the real value is, but only if the issue is clearly solvable upfront. If there’s any uncertainty around zoning, utilities, or layout, I usually pass. Those are the ones that drag on and eat into returns.
