Buying Framing Lumber From A Saw Mill?

Hi,

I know big box retail is a rip off when it comes to framing lumber. Do any of you buy your framing/sheathing materials directly from a saw mill? If so can you just give the your architectural plans and they prepare your order right from the prints? Around what % of a discount do you get compared to buying dimensional lumber from lumber yard for framing?
