Hi all! I am looking for a real estate investor meet up in the general Providence Rhode Island area. Does anyone know of one? Thanks!

@Rebecca Coleman I can confirm what Chris said, the RI Real Estate Investors Group is good. I've been a member since 2003. The presentations are informative and inspiring, but the real value is in the networking connections you can make over time. Look at it like networking gardening, you're planting seeds that will grow over the years if you put in regular effort. Don't try to find a "mentor", just have coffee with people you like and then continue to stay in touch with them.

I'd gone to a few local RI real estate meetups from meetup.com over the years. I haven't looked at it recently but my impression was that most are ephemeral. In a few cases it was a more experienced investor looking to have new/junior investors give them leads ("bird dogging") which is fine I guess but not really the networking dynamic I personally like or enjoy. But maybe there are new ones out there now which aren't like that 🤷
