How to work expired listings

What has been your experience with expired listings? Have you been able to make them work? If so, care to share your wisdom? This is what I have learned so far:

- They don't come with phone numbers, so it's either skip tracing or online searching to locate contact info.

- The contact info found is often inaccurate.

- The accurate phone numbers often have full voice mailboxes.

- Texting these sellers is unlawful, from my understanding.

- Driving to the house is too time consuming.

Looking forward to hearing what has worked for you!

Expired listings usually have about 500 people contacting them, and are usually pretty pissed by the time the 4th or 5th person has contacted them.
