Commercial vs residential real estate

Hi Biggerpockets community I have a question.

Currently I am reading my first book about real estate (The book on rental property investing). In this book Mr. Turner talks about residential real estates most of the time, but what about commercial ones? Are commercials not as good as residential? Should I ever touch commercial real estates?
