Whitestone Developments Not Paying Subs

Shelan Davis
Posted

I have house under construction in Cape Coral with Whitestone Developments. Today I got a certified letter stating a lien has been placed on the property by the landscaping company they hired but have not paid. This is from work done in July 2023.

By the way, its been under construction for nearly three years. Three years!

Yes, this was a Rent to Retirement purchase.

Anyone else having issues? Looks like Whitestone is failing.

Replied

if its only one sub it could have been an oversight.

3 years  is this because permits take so long.. I know i built 4 in the Ocala market and permits were very long year or more very frustrating ..

do you have a lender or are you building out of cash.. If you have a lender they should be getting lien releases as they pay draws.

I am sure RR will jump in there they are pretty responsive to helping their clients.
