Good people finder site?

Question

I got a list a mile long of absent owners I havent been able to locate, been to town hall, talked to neighbors, no phone number, mail comes back to me. Is there a good/cost effective site or method of locating them?

I guess I'm just getting frustrated. a lot of the time the owner will be listed at the same address as the house and its clearly vacant, so where are they? Someones paying the taxes - who, and where? I feel like sending mail is so futile. sometimes it comes back, sometimes it doesn't so either way I dont know whether I got my message accross. I certainly havent recived any calls on my mailings. if only I had a phone number for these people, that would be ideal. At least when I call and speak to them I know right away. But thats the minority. Maybe 10% I'm able to get a phone number. Its just aggravating. And how much time should I really put into these anyway considering they are really a long shot.

I'd be happy to help out.... No charge of course.  I do skip tracing here at the office.  I can pretty much find anyone anywhere.  Just PM me with the details you have.  I can have the answers pretty quick for you, (as long as there name isn't Osama Bin Laden).
 As for a tool you can use: a lot of times its a subscription service to the software that's used, kind of like MLS, and you have to have some type of legal, law enforcement, or fraud detection credentials to be able to get them.  I do have to say though, one of my most useful tools is the whitepages.  Just add a .com at the end of it.  You can do reverse address searches, reverse phone searches etc.  Comes in handy.  The one I use is for law enforcement.  Don't need too many details to find a whole lot out.

Their mail has to be going somewhere.  My recorders office has mailing addresses of absentee property owners for the purpose of mailing them their tax bill.  If that isn’t available you may try mailing to a house that is obviously vacant and see if the mail is forwarded.
