LLC for properties in a Trust

Is it desirable to place properties in an LLC if they are already in a trust? I want to ensure that each property is protected from lawsuits that could occur on other properties. I am new to the real estate investment business, and I inherited 3 properties that are currently in my wife, and I trust.
