CA investor moving to Florida

Posted

My wife and I are debating on moving out of California and the only place we are considering is Florida. I do rehabs in San Diego where my purchase price is usually from 900k to 1.3 million and I try to make 20% of the purchase price per deal and try to do 5-6 deals per year (if I can find them which is becoming harder). How does this stack up with your Florida markets?

I'm curious for people living in Florida what the markets are like for doing rehabs.

How easy/hard to get permits and timelines?

Price per/sq ft average on rehab?

Best/worst markets?

Profit margins?

Any other helpful info is appreciated! Thanks!
