Duplex vs Syndication

Hi BP Community! Looking for some thoughts / feedback. For my next deal I'm considering adding another duplex to the portfolio or investing in a syndication. With a duplex you get more control, maybe more write offs, but obviously more hands on and the potential for higher vacancy. With a syndication it's more passive, you partner with professionals and can access larger and higher quality properties. Curious to get anyone's thoughts that have done both!
