Security camera suggestions

Posted

Do you guys have any security camera suggestions? If there was a reliable battery powered option I would maybe do that. I have a four plex with detached garages. I would put two on building and two on garages. There is power to garages but I don’t know that I want to have to pay an electrician to wire non battery ones

I know you would prefer not to have someone come out and wire the cameras, but I recommend saving yourself a headache and paying for that expense.

Battery/Solar cameras are great until you have a rainy week, or you find out that not enough sun hits the camera during the winter, or a tree causes shade, etc. All of these things come into play and now your camera is off line 25% of the time.

As for brand type, I have used both Google Nest and Ubiquity and I have been pleased with them both.
