First Time investor

Anne Musa
Posted

Hello All,

I am a first-time investor and found a property I would have liked to buy but was told the basement gets damp when it rains. The property was over 100 years old. My agent told me it's a normal thing to see in older properties like that, but I was scared of the impact of such water on the foundation in the future.

My question, is this something I should not have been worried about? Asking so in case I run into similar property in the future. Anyone dealt with similar issue before?

Thanks
