Ceiling structure inspection

Mary Witt
Posted

A brick-sized piece of mortar/concrete came loose and was removed from my condo ceiling. The association declined to inspect it, saying it’s not a concern. It may turn out to be nothing serious, but since I’m planning to sell the unit, I’d like peace of mind and to avoid any disclosure issues. Anyone has recommendation of a cost-effective structural engineering company that handles residential inspections without being too expensive? The area in question is now closed off behind drywall, but I do have a photo, so it could just be a photo evaluation.
