Hello all! I'm completely new to real estate investing although it's been something my wife and I have been wanting to do. To tell you my position and situation I'm in right now, I'm a police officer in the city of Marquette MI, I make about 50k a year and my wife is finishing her degree this year. I had a series of unfortunate expenses have brought my bank account to 4K. I've been pre approved for an FHA loan and I wanted to ask what everyone's advice would be to start investing. Thank you all!

@Justin Smith

if you can afford to house hack, house hack.  beyond that, i don't think you're well capitalized enough so i'd continue to learn and save.
